Black gesso is a flat acrylic liquid primer used to prepare canvases and also used in Wildlife painting. This is the undercoast tha Bob uses on his famous black canvases. This water-based paint should be applied very thinly with a foam applicator (NOT A BRUSH) and allowed to dry completely before starting your painting.
